Belmont County Ohio Judge Fregiato
Here Is A Headline.
Fregiato takes his courtroom directly into each Belmont County high school for "live" court sessions each year. "This "live" court program, believed to be the first and only one of its kind in the country, has helped to make certain our students understand that there are consequences for their actions," Fregiato said. "I think the results have been very positive."
This Is Another One.
Fregiato has a deep concern regarding the consequences that can occur to our loved ones from an individual driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Accordingly, he speaks directly to each defendant who has been convicted of or plead guilty to "O.V. I." Fregiato discusses with the offender, dramatic potential consequences to his and our families.

Belmont County Northern Division Judge Frank Fregiato won reelection to the bench in the 2000 general election and again in 2006. Fregiato has been Northern Division Court Judge since being appointed in January 1997. He was elected to that position in November 1998 winning 92.5 percent of 100 precincts. Since his appointment, Fregiato has been active in promoting legal issues in Belmont County. He has provided educational opportunities to many civic, union, fraternal, veteran, and senior citizen organizations. Most notably is the High School "Live Court" Program ,whereby Judge Fregiato takes his court for live proceedings to each Belmont County High School to demonstrate to our students there are consequences for their actions. It is believed to be the only program of it's kind in the Country.

Fregiato has also instituted a Nonviolent Offender Community Service program whereby defendants undertake service for our Belmont County Communities, such as painting town and township buildings and cleaning roads and streams.
